Taxonomic definition A descending medial fasciculus of prosencephalon is an efferent tract of origin in hypothalamus [tractus efferens originis hypothalami ] which runs the entire length of the spinal cord [medulla spinalis ] and contains cerebrospinal fluid [liquor cerebrospinalis ], it lies in the center of the cord between the anterior grey commissure [commissura grisea anterior medullae spinalis ] and the posterior grey commissure [commissura grisea posterior medullae spinalis ].
